CORTIREST SUSPENSION
Composition: Each 5 ml of suspension contains: Deflazacort 6mg.
Indications: Asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile chronic arthritis and duchene muscular dystrophy.
Adverse events: Hypothalamo-pitutary adrenal axis suppression, carbohydrate intolerance, cushingoid faces, bone loss, muscle wasting, increased susceptibility to infections, steroid-induced psychosis, increased intraocular pressure, cataract, peptic ulceration, skin atropy, striae, fluid and electrolyte imbalance.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to any component of the product, systemic infection, patients receiving live virus immunization.
Precautions: Use with caution in patients with cardiac disease, gastritis, diabetes mellitus, osteoporosis, epilepsy.
